Description:
To travel from Tavistock to Moretonhampstead in 1200 you needed a pack horse and the newly constructed clapper bridge seen in front of the "modern" road bridge. Clapper bridges are a speciality of Dartmoor and whilst this is the best example, many can be seen.
To the south east, immediately behind where this shot was taken is the impressive Bellever Tor.
