1.
Foulstons Tavistock
Most
Saturday mornings I'm here having a Faulson's 'small'.
Excellent value for money, friendly service, (especially
Saturday) and the food tastes good. It is consistently
tasty straightforward food. Top place.
2.
Two Bridges
When
it's good it's really good, but I've been too often
when the service is slow and, frankly, not that friendly.
You might be lucky.
The bar isn't open to Joe public, just residants and
restaurant guests.

3.
Donellas (Tavistock)
If
I ran a food and coffee shop, this is how it would be.
It's under new management since 2007, redecorated in
2008. The coffee is between good and very good. Try
the scrambled egg on toast, it is delicious.

4.
The Rock (Yelverton)
A
big pub that dishes out good pub grub. Service could
be friendlier but then again, in season, it is busy.
5.
Foxtor cafe(Princetown)
Forget
Lords, which for too long has been a disgrace to Princetown
(and that's saying something), and get yourself to Foxtor
cafe.
Two welcoming fireplaces, good food reasonably priced.
I'm often there Saturday mornings having one of their
breakfasts......sets you up a treat.
The owners are lovely people; ......and top skiers to
boot.

6.
Browns (Tavistock)
Posh
food, posh gaff, fairly posh prices.

7.
Robertsons Tavistock
Organic
local produce. It's good quality fare at a fair price
