Description:
On
the right you can see Princetown prison. This was originally started
in 1806 to house Napoleonic French prisoners of war. Thereafter
it was again used to intern the American Soldiers from the war of
independence.
To the left is seen one of the few remaining old telephone boxes
several have been preserved on Dartmoor.
One in Sheepstor is painted mainly grey to blend in the granite.
