This
is one of the author's favourite walks, from east to west it is
primarily downhill. As the name suggests there are excellent pubs
at either end of this walk from Princetown (Prince of Wales) to
Horrabridge (The Leaping Salmon).
It is a reasonable challenge over a range of terrains with a tricky
water crossing in the middle. Good boots and gaiters are essential,
you need to be reasonably fit.
It is approximately 4.5 miles and should take between 2 and 3 hours.
The
buses between Horrabridge and Princetown are:
83 - 84 - 86 - 118 to/from Yelverton
change at Yelverton
82 to/from Princetown.
